The GCA’s investigation focuses on payment issues where there is clear, documented evidence, but this limited scope misses many of Amazon’s breaches, says David Sables, CEO of Sentinel Management Consultants.
“The GCA investigation into Amazon only covers payment issues. Even if successful and thorough it would still leave so many Amazon GSCOP misdemeanours that they would still be by far the worst offender on GSCOP breaches amongst our retailers. Amazon have known the issues for three years but failed to fix them. They are unfit to be a UK Grocery retailer and should be fined under GCA powers.” – David Sables
